The Regional Green Jobs Initiative is a strategic demand-driven Initiative that links economic and workforce development to advance the green economy in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and South East Kern counties. The Initiative will be achieved through public/private partnerships and guided by a collaboration of the private sector, government, faith-based and community-based organizations addressing career development, job training, labor, educational institutions, youth, and under and unemployed adults.
The Regional Green Jobs Initiative will bring green industries to the Los Angeles County and High Desert region with the purpose of growing our economy and using green jobs to create positive pathways for youth and unemployed adults.

We have, in the Los Angeles County and High Desert region, the makings of a perfect storm, a storm that can transform us and lead to positive social and economic change. Here are the elements of the storm that are gathering now:
